Lissy IV yacht

Bavaria Cruiser 51 · Flensburg · Baltic Sea

Lissy IV

A 51-foot cruising yacht for crews looking for space, comfort and a capable boat that still remains manageable. Five cabins, three bathrooms, furling main, bow thruster and practical equipment make Lissy IV a strong choice for families, crews of friends and longer Baltic Sea passages.

A lot of yacht, but still manageable.

Lissy IV is a full-size 51 ft cruising yacht with five cabins and enough room for larger crews. That is exactly why she works well for families, crews of friends and longer Baltic Sea legs: a spacious salon, storage, separate sleeping areas and enough bathrooms to keep daily life on board relaxed.

Performance rigg with longer keel, furling main, furling genoa, self-tailing winches, autopilot, bow thruster and a cockpit plotter take much of the stress out of handling a yacht of this size. For crews that can responsibly skipper a 50-foot yacht, Lissy IV is a capable platform for Flensburg Fjord, the Danish islands and longer Baltic itineraries.

Honest assessment: Lissy IV is comfortable, but she remains a large yacht. Harbour manoeuvres, weather windows and crew briefing still matter.

Key equipment

The equipment is set up for real charter use: comfortable enough for a holiday, robust enough for changing crews and useful for longer trips.

260 Wp solar system

The solar panels support the service batteries during the day and reduce dependence on shore power and engine runtime.

USB sockets in the cabins

Phones, tablets, headlamps and navigation devices do not all have to be charged at the chart table.

Two refrigerators

For a larger crew, refrigeration space makes a real difference. Drinks, fresh food and provisions can be stored much more effectively.

Furling main and furling genoa

Sail handling remains manageable even with a smaller crew. Reefing and setting sail require less physical effort.

Bow thruster

At 15 metres, harbour manoeuvre planning is mandatory. The bow thruster gives useful reserve, but it does not replace experience.

Navigation and safety

Autopilot, radar, cockpit plotter, DSC VHF and AIS reception support safer passage planning and more relaxed sailing.

Sailing area from Flensburg

Marina Flensburg lies well inside the fjord. That makes the start of the trip sheltered before heading towards Denmark, Sønderborg, Als, Ærø, Lyø, Faaborg or the Schlei.

One week

Danish South Sea with Ærø, Lyø, Faaborg, Als and, if weather allows, an additional leg into the Schlei.

Weekend trip

Flensburg Fjord, Sønderborg or short hops towards the Danish islands. Useful when arrival and return are tightly scheduled.

Offseason

With heating and a large interior, Lissy IV also works for quieter spring and autumn trips when crew and weather window fit.
